We have over 30 years experience in providing internal and external redecoration and pre-painting repairs for Public Sector Clients.
Our priority is to deliver a high standard of service to clients and residents through communication and planning.
The majority of our work is undertaken in occupied homes where sensitivity to the needs of the residents is crucial.
Properties have included voids and occupied, bungalows, houses, housing estates, high rise blocks, community areas, sheltered housing, externally and internally to communal areas, staircase, community halls.
We work with schools to enhance and improve surroundings from Primary Schools to Secondary Education and Universities. Communicating with head teachers and staff on the requirements for their specific school. To understand the clients needs are central to our method of thinking.
We have worked with NHS Trusts on redecorating and upgrading communal area's, corridors, wards, day units, secure units, to enhance the surroundings for patients and staff. Communications with staff being of high importance as many of these area's are still occupied through-out the work period. By communicating with all persons involved we hope to keep noise and disruption to a minimum.
Public Building and the Private Sector
Included within our work experience are pre-painting repairs and refurbishments to public buildings such as libraries, community centres, Local Authority Buildings, Town Halls, offices, fire stations, and private residential blocks.
We have carried this work out for Chartered Building Surveyors, Architects and direct for private individuals.
Pre-painting Repairs - Windowcare System
Pre-paint repairs can be determined within the site survey by our Contracts Manager.
Repairs can be carried out by F.J. Merrison & Son Ltd., trained personnel or our approved supply chain partners.
We have a number of personnel trained in Windowcare System which
- avoid costly window replacement
- reduces and prevents future decay
- extends redecoration cycle
- improves durability of sub-state
- reduces future maintenance costs
We carry out partial or complete refurbishment including offices, kitchens, bathrooms, toilets, washrooms, incorporating plumbing, electrical, suspended ceiling, flooring ,renewal of windows, renewal of U-PVC goods (facia, soffit, rainwater goods).
Disability Discrimination Act 2004
F.J. Merrison & Son Ltd., work with commercial clients to help them attain compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act 2004.
We can fit singular items or complete packages to area's requested to promote independent movement and access around the building including.
- toilet facilities
- handrails in constrasting colours to the wall to enable access and create a visual awareness for access routes, as well as providing wall protection.
- signage
- corner protector in contrasting colours to walls
- door protection panels which can highlight door handle areas
- door edges protectors in contrasting colours to highlight door edges.
